There’s a video that’s all over the internet called “Jesus>Religion,” or something like that, and it’s all about how Jesus’ life made the necessity for religion and legalism a moot point, and I completely agree with it.
But I cannot bear to watch it, because it is the most poorly written poem I have ever heard. The phrases are so perfectly rhymed with the same exact cadence throughout to the point of being elementary, and it just makes me cringe.
I love the idea of it, but the fact that it is not artistically well done ruins it for me.
Let’s make art that not only speaks truth to our generation, but actually does it well.
